Keith D. Kilback, Q.C., a partner in Kanuka Thuringer LLP’s Regina office, was recently appointed as a Judge in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Saskatchewan
Justice Kilback had been a partner at the Regina office of Kanuka Thuringer LLP, and was a leading practitioner in the areas of civil litigation, administrative law, and transportation law.
He earned his B.A. in 1990 and his J.D. in 1994 from the University of Saskatchewan, and was called to the bars of Saskatchewan (1995) and British Columbia (1997).
Justice Kilback appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, the British Columbia Supreme Court, the Federal Court of Canada, the Tax Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He was also appointed as an inquest coroner in 2008 and has acted as coroner’s counsel. In 2018, he received his Queen’s Counsel designation.
Justice Kilback was widely recognized as a top lawyer in the area of transportation law. And was a member and a former Director of the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association and a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association. He has also published a variety of articles in numerous law journals.
The people of Saskatchewan will be very well served by Justice Kilback’s appointment to the bench.
