Douglas N. Bolen

Douglas has a general practice with a focus on advising and assisting corporate, commercial and business clients and does real estate transactions, both residential and commercial. He also plays a role with the Corporate Commercial team by contributing on some of the partners’ large projects.

Born and raised in Regina, Douglas recently returned and joined Kanuka Thuringer after many years practicing law in British Columbia.  For more than 25 years, Douglas has been primarily business focused with a proven record of advising clients throughout their life cycles from pre-incorporation entrepreneurial start-up’s to large established entities, both privately and publicly held.  Douglas has advised clients on most aspects of these businesses including business and regulatory matters, contract negotiation, drafting and review, regulatory compliance, acquisitions, dispositions, labour and employ matters and financings.  Some sectors worked in include oil and gas, gaming and casinos, tech, manufacturers of goods and private lenders.  He has an excellent business acumen which when combined with his legal experience allows him to assist clients to grow, safely conduct their business activities all the while minimizing risk.
